CURIOUS ABOUT ACROYOGA?
If you clicked this link, you probably are. It is very possible that you have seen pictures or videos of people doing crazy poses and being upside down on each other’s feet. Maybe your first thought was “Wow! This looks amazing! I want to try it out”. Or was it “There’s no way I’ll ever be able to do this!”?
Either way, we want to offer you the possibility to come and try it out…and “Yes!” you are able to do this! 😊
WHAT IS ACROYOGA?
To keep it short, AcroYoga is a practice blending elements of acrobatics, yoga and healing arts. AcroYoga is a community practice which will get you to interact and work (or play) with other people. There are three primary roles in AcroYoga practice: base, flyer, and spotter.
Beyond this basic definition, the practice is a lot about fun, creativity, strength, playfulness, agility and trust. And what is most important, is what AcroYoga means to you and what you can take out of it.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE CLASS?
In this beginners class, you will learn some of the basic poses and principals of AcroYoga. We will mainly focus on the acrobatic aspects of the practice. We will also introduce basic flows combining the learned elements into a sequence of movements and empower you to develop your own sequences. The aim of the class is to accompany you on your first steps into the practice and give you some tools that will allow you to pursue your very own AcroYoga journey.
The classes will also cover:
- Individual or partner warmups and group games
- Strength training for acrobatic elements
- Assisted inversions
- Creative flows
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one (a few extra mats are provided)!
No experience nor partner is needed, and it is open for all body types no matter how much exercise you have done in the past.
The classes will be taught in English…or French, or German, or Luxembourgish…depending on the participants 😊.
